Washington Concert Opera is hosting a spring benefit featuring Nathan Gunn accompanied by his wife on the piano. The event is Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. It begins at 6:30 pm with a cocktail hour followed by a performance by Mr. Gunn. A sit-down dinner follows.
Irish Repertory Theatre's Annual Benefit Gala, The Spectacular Songs of Lerner and Loewe, will be presented June 9 at 7 PM at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
Attendees can expect to hear songs from such Lerner and Loewe classics as My Fair Lady, Gigi, Camelot, Paint Your Wagon and Brigadoon.
Written and directed by Charlotte Moore, the evening will feature the talents of Academy and Tony Award winner Joel Grey, two-time Tony winner John Cullum, Tony winner James Naughton, Tony nominee Melissa Errico, Grammy Award-winning Metropolitan Opera baritone Nathan Gunn, Josh Grisetti and Max von Essen.
